Hemp contains numerous antioxidants, vitamins, minerals, fatty acids and amino acids, which have been proven to have a positive effect on the health of skin and hair.

CBD can help your hair
The healthy growth of hair can be promoted and supported by the positive properties that CBD has been proven to possess.

Products with CBD (e.g. based on hemp seeds, black cumin or coconut oil) contain fatty acids, antioxidants, minerals, magnesium, potassium, vitamins (vitamins A, C and E) and amino acids, which are known to optimize the strength and resistance of human hair.

The amino acids in CBD products are the main building blocks of proteins, which in turn strengthen and protect the hair follicles (hair follicles are the structures that surround the hair root and thus anchor the hair to the skin). CBD products could also have a positive effect on hair in that, in combination with other substances such as coconut oil, they can provide more moisture to the hair. CBD could also protect the hair strands from drying out and breaking, especially in the cold and dry winter months.

CBD products based on hemp seed oil contain various nutritious fatty acids such as omega-3, omega-6 or omega-9 fatty acids. In addition, CBD oil contains gamma-linolenic acid (GLA), which in turn supports and promotes hair growth.

Many consumers use products with CBD to support the treatment of certain head and skin diseases, such as psoriasis or dermatitis (skin disease with inflammation and itching), and report their anti-inflammatory and beneficial effects. A study published in North America in spring 2018 supports this view.

CBD in hair loss
Science assumes that CBD can help hair in a similar if not almost the same way as, for example, a balanced and healthy diet, as it is also rich in vitamins and antioxidants.

The cause of hair loss in many cases (provided the hair loss is not caused by a disease) is that certain cells in the scalp become inflamed and the scalp is burdened with toxins that reduce or prevent normal and healthy growth. If the problems just described occur, consumers use products with CBD both to treat the inflamed cells and to moisturize the scalp.

Current state of research
The active substance cannabidiol (CBD) is currently still the subject of various research projects and analyses, which is why its specific effect cannot be defined exactly scientifically at this point in time.

Many experts and also more and more private persons assume that CBD can have many effects on health and that the benefits of this cannabinoid will be increasingly researched in the future.

Very briefly:
CBD can support the growth and health of human hair and skin. Products containing CBD can act as anti-inflammatory or moisturizing agents, among other things. However, the exact benefits of CBD have not yet been scientifically researched well enough. Therefore, the knowledge about its effects will increase considerably in the coming years.
