3 Questions for the CFO of cbuy.ch

Dear cread readers. This week, Dominic Hoffmann, CFO of cbuy.ch, takes questions from the cread editorial team. We wish you an interesting read.

cread:
It’s been 9 days since the first cbuy.ch TV spot aired on Swiss television. Are you already feeling the effects of the big advertising campaign?

Dominic Hoffmann:
Yes, definitely. The effects can be felt in many areas. Personally, I was already approached about it for the first time the morning after it started airing. People are suddenly much more aware of us. We are seen on the streets in our lettered company vehicles, buses with our lettering are on the road in the Zurich lowlands, and now our advertising is also being broadcast on Swiss television at prime time – cbuy.ch is truly omnipresent. Recently an acquaintance wrote to me that he could not get cbuy.ch out of his head, every day he met us somewhere in some form. So you see, awareness has already increased noticeably after just over a week.

On the other hand, we are also feeling the impact of the campaign in our day-to-day business, especially in terms of the number of customer contacts and order volume. Overall, I am very satisfied and proud of what has already changed positively within a good week.

cread:
With the commercials, you have entered new territory in terms of marketing. Will there be any innovations on the product side soon as well?

Dominic Hoffmann:
There will. We will soon be adding 4 different gift baskets to our range, just in time for the Christmas season. There will be 3 variants with different foods and 1 variant with cosmetic products. I think that we have created a super Christmas gift that will hopefully put a smile on the faces of many customers.

cread:
Finally, a personal question: It can be assumed that the last few weeks have been very stressful and work-intensive for you and that the following weeks will also remain stressful. How do you still manage to keep a good balance between work and private life?

Dominic Hoffmann:
In my opinion, the most important thing is not to take work home to bed. That’s why my partner and I consciously take time every day after we get home to talk about our work day – before we completely take care of our private lives. This allows us to consciously wrap up the workday and process the emotions and experiences we went through during the day. Personally, this helps me a lot to clear my head and continue to enjoy my personal life to the fullest in addition to all the work I do.

cread: Thank you very much for taking a moment of your time.
