Fig hemp seed bar
Recipe for approx. 40 bars
Filling:
500 grams of figs
100 grams of grinded hemp seeds
0.5 liters of organic apple juice
Dough:
300 grams wholemeal wheat flour
300 grams butter
300 grams oat flakes
100 grams Happy Day Honey-Mix
60 grams hemp seeds
5 tablespoons Pure Cooking Oil
Preparation:
Filling:
Put the figs, the ground hemp seeds and the apple juice in a large enough pan and cook them over medium heat until soft. Make sure that nothing burns. To do this, stir the mixture regularly with a wooden spoon. Let the boiled down filling cool down in the pan.
Dough:
Put the wholemeal wheat flour, butter, oat flakes, Happy Day Honey Mix and Pure Cooking Oil into a bowl and knead everything into a compact dough for a few minutes. Then add the hemp seeds and knead the dough again thoroughly.
Baking process:
Spread half of the dough on a baking tray covered with baking paper. Carefully press the dough evenly onto the baking tray – it is best to use a dough roll.
Spread the filling over the dough – but be careful: the filling should only be lukewarm! Afterwards you can spread the other half of the dough on the filling and press it on loosely. If you like, you can sprinkle the dough with some hemp seeds.
Bake the bars for about 40-50 minutes at 180 degrees. Afterwards you can cut the “cake” into bars while still lukewarm.
