CBD oil is produced either as full spectrum oil or with CBD isolate. explains below how the two types of oil differ from each other and what their respective benefits are.

The CBD Full Spectrum Oil
Full spectrum or full spectrum is CBD oil, which contains other cannabinoids in its formulation besides cannabidiol (CBD). These include for example cannabigerol (CBG), cannabinol (CBN), cannabichromene (CBC) or tetrahydrocannabinol (THC). In addition, full spectrum oil may contain other ingredients such as terpenes or flavonoids.

The CBD Isolate
CBD oil enriched with CBD isolate, unlike CBD Full Spectrum oil, contains only the cannabinoid CBD. It also does not contain any other ingredients (such as terpenes or flavonoids).

The Entourage Effect
During the extraction process of cannabinoids, thanks to the latest scientific methods, it is possible to determine exactly which chemical structures should be extracted from the hemp plant. Thus the final product contains only the desired cannabinoids and is free of any other undesirable plant components. The research on cannabinoids provides more and more results, which give more precise information about the effects of the individual cannabinoids as well as the other ingredients (terpenes, flavonoids etc.). In North America, for example, more and more cannabinoids, such as CBC, CBN or CBG, are said to have therapeutic effects.
First scientific studies indicate that CBD needs the support of other cannabinoids to reach its full potential. Further studies also provide evidence that cannabinoids and ingredients such as terpenes and flavonoids are more effective when used together. This phenomenon is also called synergistic entourage effect. CBD Full Spectrum oil seems to make use of this entourage effect and therefore has a higher effectiveness than pure CBD oil containing only CBD isolate. This is because there the isolated CBD cannot interact with any other ingredient. Until today there are still too few scientific studies on the entourage effect. Therefore it is not yet scientifically proven.

Very briefly:
CBD oil exists in two variants: On the one hand as CBD oil, which is only enriched with CBD isolate. On the other hand as CBD Full Spectrum Oil, which contains additional cannabinoids and other ingredients. Recent studies provide first indications that CBD Full Spectrum oil could outperform pure CBD oil in its effectiveness.
